Trivia[]
- Bobbie Fleckman was previously Fran Drescher's character in the 1984 mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap.
- It is implied that Fleckman is in fact Jewish, as she uses the Yiddish word "bubbele," meaning "sweeite" or "darling."
- The episode references what appears to be the singer Sting. However, at the time the episode aired, there was also a professional wrestler Sting who also was gaining noticeable attention with a storyline which involved him pursuing Hollywood Hulk Hogan's WCW Heavyweight Championship. In October 1996, the wrestler had radically changed his gimmick from a colorful, heroic surfer themed persona into a "dark warrior" with Crow facepaint and who for the year 1997 did not speak. While the phone call was clearly a lie meant to Fleckman out of the house in order for Fran to impersonate Fleckman, the fact that there was a possibility that he would speak to Fleckman could be seen as a good parody of the wrestler's decision to be silent.
