Sammy Jones is the husband of Yetta Rosenberg Jones, the step-father of Sylvia and Morty Fine, the step-grandfather of Fran and Maxwell Sheffield and Nadine, and the step-great-grandfather of Maggie, Brighton, Gracie, Jonah, and Eve Sheffield. He married Yetta in the fiifth season, and had a "nerdy nephew", played by Coolio, who became a famous rapper, even though he already wrapped gifts at Pottery Barn. Little is known about what happened to Sammy after Yetta moved to California with Fran and the rest of the Sheffields. He is portrayed by Ray Charles.
