Renee Taylor (born Renee Wechsler; March 19, 1933) is an American actress, occasional writer and one-time director, best-known for playing Fran Drescher's outspoken mother, Sylvia Fine, on the TV series The Nanny.

- Though not actually related, Renee Taylor and Yetta actress Ann Morgan Guilbert and Taylor had a real life connection which resulted from their history of working with Mel Brooks and his publicly known best friend Carl Reiner. Taylor was in Brooks' 1967 film The Producers, where she played the actress who played Eva Braun in the film's play "Springtime for Hitler," while Guilbert was a regular recurring actress on Reiner's Dick Van Dyke Show as Millie Helper.
